INSTAGRAM LOVE // BEHIND THE CAMERA

Here at Blenders, we're pretty obsessed with creating cool products and content. Whether it's showing off a new pair of shades, an afternoon at Coachella, a Blenders Entourage team rider, or a Blenderette in a bikini, we aim to create imagery that turns heads. On your average day at the office, you'll find the team on the phone and online with our network of photographers and models around the world. Every one brings something different to the table, with unique styles and passions. It's really cool to see how the Blenders brand and the shades fit into the lives of the models and creatives that we work with.

When the company started we shot everything ourselves and we still love to get in on the action when we can. Last week we had a classic sunny San Diego day and a new batch of H Series frames arriving at the office. We called up one of our favorite local photographers and hit the beach after work. Daniel Gordon (@ds0n) has a killer eye and a vibrant sense of style. You've seen his work featured numerous times on our instagram feed (@blenderseyewear) including trips to Coachella and Groove Cruise Music Festival (which we all miraculously survived).

On this particular day, we had about 15 minutes of sunlight left to work with and a coastline that was packed with surfers and beach goers. One of the more picturesque spots in all of Southern California is La Jolla Shores and fortunately for us, it's just a few minutes from our office. We jammed over to Scripps Pier and started clicking away. Daniel shoots with a Cannon 7D but our imagery in general is shot with a huge variety of equipment. We've used iphone shots for 10 foot banners.

Once an image is captured and edited, we go through the instagram feed and the website to see where it fits in the mix of everything and the vibe we have going at the time. If it's creative, vibrant, eye catching and tells a story, it's got a great shot to make the Blenders Eyewear feed. Anyway, we finished up with this particular shoot as the sun set and then headed straight to sushi. A day behind the lens takes it out of ya.

The shots Daniel got were badass as usual. You can see more from this shoot on instagram (@blenderseyewear) and check out Daniel's work on his feed (@ds0n). We love to see all your best shots so be sure and tag us on social media #BlendersEyewear #FeelinGood. If you're a creative or a model and want to work with Blenders, hit us up! We're always looking to add talented, passionate people to the Blenders Family. Just shoot us an email or reach out on instagram to get in touch. Cheers gang!
